Extra Magic Time
Early access to Disneyland Paris

Arriving in a nearly empty Disneyland Park before everyone else, with no queues and attractions all to yourself... This is exactly what Extra Magic Time offers. This discreet privilege is one of the strongest reasons to choose to stay in a Disney hotel rather than elsewhere.

Who can enjoy Extra Magic Time?

Early access to the park is reserved for two categories of visitors:

  • Guests of official Disney hotels: Disneyland Hotel, Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, Disney Newport Bay Club, Disney Sequoia Lodge, Disney Hotel Cheyenne, Disney Hotel Santa Fe.
Note: Davy Crockett Ranch does not provide access to Extra Magic Time.
  • Disneyland PASS holders (Gold, Silver or Bronze depending on current conditions).

In both cases, you must present your hotel wristband or Annual Pass at the dedicated entrance, which is separate from the standard ticket booths.

Which attractions are open during Extra Magic Time?

The park is not fully operational during the early hour; only a selection of attractions is available. The list varies by season and ongoing works, but generally includes:

Disneyland Park

  • Big Thunder Mountain
  • Phantom Manor
  • Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain
  • Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril
  • Peter Pan's Flight
  • It's a Small World
  • Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast

Disney Adventure World Park

  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
  • Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure
  • Crush's Coaster
  • Ratatouille : L'Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy

The official list is provided in the Disneyland Paris app and may be changed without notice. It is advisable to check it the day before your visit.

Tips to make the most of Extra Magic Time

Start with the most popular attractions

The early hour is short. Dedicate it to the attractions that have the longest queues on a normal day: Big Thunder Mountain, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, Crush's Coaster or Ratatouille : L'Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy. In one hour, it is entirely possible to ride 3 to 4 of these attractions without waiting.

Be at the entrance 30 minutes before early access opens

Even if you are among those entitled, other hotel guests arrive at the same time. Planning to be in front of the dedicated entrance 20 to 30 minutes before the official Extra Magic Time start ensures you are among the first to enter.

Use the Shopping Service in parallel

Shops are generally accessible during Extra Magic Time, but without the crowds. It is the ideal time to buy souvenirs quietly and leave them with the Shopping Service to collect at closing time.

Is it really worth staying in a Disney hotel for this?

This is the real question. The extra cost of a Disney hotel compared to a partner hotel may seem high, but Extra Magic Time represents a concrete advantage: a full hour on the best attractions, with no wait. For a family of 4 people, the time saved, and therefore the stress reduced, is significant. Added to this are free hotel-to-park shuttles, breakfast included in most hotels, and the ability to spread out the day without rushing.
